Nanning Underwater World is located in Xingning District of Nanning. It covers an area of more than 5,000 square meters, which is one of the largest amusement parks and aquariums in Guangxi. It is also the marine education center and marine animal reserve center in Nanning and Guangxi. It was selected as an outstanding tourist attraction in Nanning in 2005. It is the National 3A Class Scenic Area.

Nanning Underwater World has twelve themed recreation areas, including Central Exhibition Hall, Undersea Promenade, Millennium Turtle Pool, Rare Shell Hall, Coral Hall, Shark Performance Hall, Dream Water Trail, Undersea Sightseeing Boat, Undersea Tunnel, Undersea Wonders, Sturgeon Pavilion, and Sea Lion Performance Hall.
There are four special entertainment performances: sea lion performance, human and shark performance, devil fish performance and water ballet performance. There are also the colorful demonstrations of marine biological features, including predation demonstration of the pomfret, porcupine flatulence, blackfin shark, water jet fish, snailfish and stonefish.
While watching the various marine animals, people can also participate in various classes that are both playful and educational. Visitors could take photos with various marine creatures and also taste the local snacks, or buy exquisite and traditional marine handicrafts and souvenirs.
