Air

Wuxu International Airport (NNG) is about 19 miles (31 kilometers) southwest from the center of Nanning City, about 40-50 minutes' driving. This airport serves as a major airport in southwest China, whose flights head for more than 40 major cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu and Shenzhen. Apart from domestic airlines, 11 international air routes are also provided, which is heading for Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and so on. The airport is equipped with comprehensive and convenient transportation, such as airport shuttle bus.


Train

Nanning Railway Station and East Railway Station are responsible for passenger transport in this city. The Main Railway Station mainly has normal speed trains, while East Railway Station focuses on high speed trains' operation.

Nanning Railway Station

As the meeting point of Nanning-Kunming Railway, Hengyang-Pingxiang Railway and Nanning-Fangchenggang Railway, the station has direct trains to many big cities in China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xian, Chengdu, Kunming, Guilin, Changsha, and Zhangjiajie. Other railway lines extend to the cities in Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Jiangxi Provinces.

Due to its special border location, overnight trains (T8701/T8702) can take passengers to Hanoi in Vietnam directly. This route makes this city become the second after Beijing which provides international railway service in China.

East Railway Station

The distance between these two railway stations is about 6.5 miles (10.4km). As the all-around traffic hub in this city, East Railway Station has lots of high speed trains and a few normal speed ones that bring a lot of convenience for passengers. Nowadays, this station has become the largest and the most important one in Guangxi. Notably, Nanning-Guangzhou High Speed Trains are operated. This route shortens the travel time between the two cities from 13 hours to 4 hours. This railway station is located at the north side of North Fengling Road, Qingxiu District.



Long-distance Bus

Long-distance bus is a common way for passengers to travel because of the well-developed highways. Langdong Bus Station, Jiangnan Bus Station, Anji Bus Station, Xixiangtang Bus Station and Jinqiao Bus Station are five main bus stations in this city. Long-distance buses at these stations bound for cities and counties within the province. Besides, there are also lots of buses that can take passengers to major cities in China, such as Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Guilin. Moreover, the Langdong Long-distance Bus Station even operates buses to Vietnam.



City Bus

Thousands of city buses send tens of thousands of people to different corners of the Nanning city every day. Ticket price is generally CNY1 for non-conditioned buses and CNY2 for air-conditioned ones. Only a few special bus lines charges more than CNY2. Since most of the buses do not have a conductor, please remember to prepare some changes to get on the bus.
