Transportation in Qufu Travel

Railway stations

 

There are two rail stations in Qufu – Qufu Railway Station and Qufu East Railway Station. The two railways stations shoulder different obligations. Qufu Railway Station mainly serves ordinary trains while Qufu East Railway Station serves high-speed trains.

 

Qufu Railway Station

Qufu Railway Station is located at Kuiquan East Road, Jining, which mainly operates ordinary trains. Trains from/to Beijing, Jinan, Rizhao, Heze, Yantai and many others cities are available. The Qufu Railway Station is about 4 miles (6 kilometers) from Confucius Temple, Confucius Family Mansion and Yan Temple, 6 miles (10 kilometers) from Confucius Cemetery, 2 miles (4 kilometers) from Confucius Six Arts City and 9 miles (15 kilometers) from East Railway Station.

 

Qufu East Railway Station

Qufu East Railway Station sits at Kongzi Avenue, Jining, and it is a high-speed railway station, serving bullet trains. Qufu East Railway Station is about 8 miles (13 kilometers) from Confucius Temple, Confucius Family Mansion and Yan Temple, 11 miles (18 kilometers) from Confucius Cemetery, 6 miles (10 kilometers) from Confucius Six Arts City and 9 miles (15 kilometers) from Qufu Train Station.

 

Long-distance Bus Station

 

The long-distance bus station is located at the northwest corner of Qufu, 160 meters east to the crossroad of Yulan Road and Yulong Road. Buses to other cities including Weishan, Yantai, Zaozhuang, Heze, Qingdao, Jinan, Tai’an, Jining and Yanzhou will depart from Qufu long-distance bus station.

 

City Bus

 

Qufu does not have so many bus lines, which only has no more than ten bus routines, and the most frequently used ones are line No.1, 2, 3, 5, 6. Although the lines are rare, it is very convenient for tourists to reach to spots through buses because some bus lines have covered the major attractions. For example, Bus No.1 passes by the Temple of Confucius, the Kong Family Mansion and the Cemetery of Confucius. In addition, the local Bus Station has opened some twelve special tourist lines to Nishangm, Jiuxian, Jiulong Mountains and Shaohao Mausoleum.

 

Taxi

 

Since the price is not high, taking a taxi is one of the most popular means of transportation to travel in Qufu. Taxies start at CNY5 for the first 2km (1.2 mi), and it costs CNY1.3/km within 4km (2.5km). When the taxi runs farther than 4km (2.5mi), the price of each additional kilometer (0.6mi) reaches CNY2. Generally, the taxi fare from city proper to hot attractions in town can be CNY10-15.
