On November 16, the 3rd Zhangjiajie World Heritage Photography Exhibition kicked off in Zhangjiajie.

Liu Ge'an, Secretary of the Zhangjiajie Municipal Party Committee, said the exhibition is a key platform for global communication via photography and cultural inheritance. It fuels Zhangjiajie's efforts to build a world-class tourist destination, and invites photographers worldwide to capture its ecological beauty, development vitality and "green development practices".

With the theme "Exchange, Sharing, Protection and Inheritance", the event features over 400 exhibition sections (thematic, parallel, open-call, etc.) and various activities including Sino-foreign heritage exchanges, photography lectures and contests. More than 2,000 images from 58 countries and 234 world heritage sites are on show.

At the opening, the BRICS Image Alliance and the Korea Photographers Association awarded Zhangjiajie plaques as a creative base. Co-hosts include the China Photographers Association, BRICS Image Alliance, Publicity Department of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, Hunan Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, and Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government.
