Recently, the press briefing for the 2026 Song-Style Blessing Hangzhou New Year series was held. Centered on "Song Yun as the soul, horse spirit as the vein, and Hangzhou charm as the rhyme", the event will kick off on Hubin Road Pedestrian Street in Shangcheng District on January 23 and last until March 4.
The event includes three core initiatives: "Blessings Shine on Hangzhou" New Year Celebration, Exploring Hangzhou for a "Peaceful New Year", and the "Zhejiang BA" Glory Moment. It also features five Spring Festival theme products and six experience scenarios, connecting districts across the city to present 100 featured activities. Traditional elements such as West Lake Blessing Boats and the bronze art installation of "Chasing the Qiantang Tide on Horseback" are combined with trendy experiences like the "Peaceful New Year" drama-tour integration and Year-of-the-Horse themed buses, covering folk customs, cultural tourism, sports and other categories.
Citizens and tourists can participate in activities such as free boat ticket lotteries, landmark stamp-collecting activities, and intangible cultural heritage parades.
