Art Works Salute to Culture of NW China

Art works about Northwest China is on display at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing through Sunday. All works are created by 173 contemporary artists studying or teaching in Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, the only art academy in the northwest.

Themed as Spirit of Time, the exhibition salutes to Xi’an, the capital city of Shaanxi. Xi’an has been one of the most prosperous metropolises since ancient time. It boosts time-honored history for it had served as the capital of several dynasties, including the Qin (221-207 BC) and Tang (618-907). Furthermore, Xi’an also served as the ancient Silk Road’s starting point in China.

The exhibition will last until Dec 24, Sunday of this weekend at Hall NO.1, 8, 9, 13 to 17 of National Art Museum of China.

The location of the museum is NO.1, Wusi Dajie Road, Dongcheng District, Beijing.
