The Great Wall of Qi in Changqing

The Great Wall of Qi is located in Changqing District, Jinan City. It lies across the land of Shandong Province. It was built during the Spring and Autumn Period, more than 2500 years ago. 
 
The Great Wall of Qi was built by Duke Huan of Qi State during the Spring and Autumn Period over 2000 years ago. It is originated from Guangli Village, Xiaoli Town, Changqing County, on the east bank of the Guji River. It passes from the top of Dafeng Mountain and winds thousands of miles to the north of Dongyujiahe Village, Huangdao District, Qingdao City. The total length of the Great Wall of Qi is 618.9 kilometers, stretching over 1518 peaks.
 
There are two Great Walls within Changqing County, namely the main part and the side part. The main part starts from Xiaoli Town in the west and connects to Mount Tai via Shuangquan Town, Mashan Town and Wande Town. The side part is on the junction of Changqing Town, Feicheng Town and Tai'an City. Between the two parts are the military barracks and stone-built passages. The city wall is generally 5 meters high and 2.5 meters thick. There is the horse-guarding road inside the city wall, which is 4 meters high and 2 meters wide. The stone houses were built against the wall under the horse road. The Great Wall of Qi in Changqing Town is about 97.8 kilometers long, covering totally 294 peaks.
 
Qi State was the first state in China to build the Great Wall in the history. It was built in the rolling mountains and few flat valleys of Taiyi Mountains. The buildings on the Great Wall are magnificent and grand in scale. It embodies the diligence and wisdom of the labors 2,500 years ago. It also embodies the prosperity and power of the states during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.
