Ancient Chinese Sculpture Gallery, the second permanent gallery of Shanghai Museum East soft opened to public on March 16th after full-scale renovation.
289 pieces/sets of sculpted works made of various mediums including jade, stone, bone, or bronze are exhibited. One third of the exhibits are facing the public for the first time.
Beside quantity of sculpted works, the exhibition also extended its history coverage from Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, till Yuan Ming and Qing dynasties with its distinguishing feature of each time.
