The mutual visa exemption agreement between China and Azerbaijan will enter into force on July 16, 2025. Citizens of both countries holding valid ordinary passports may enter, exit, or transit without a visa, provided that a single stay does not exceed 30 days and the cumulative stay does not exceed 90 days within any 180-day period.

The agreement stipulates that individuals who require a single stay exceeding 30 days, seek permanent residency, or intend to engage in activities such as work, study, or news reporting (which require prior approval from the host country) must obtain the relevant visa prior to entry.

Upon implementation, the agreement is expected to deepen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in tourism, economy, trade, and culture.
