Air China officially expanded its European network by launching two new direct routes connecting Brussels with Beijing and Chengdu. The Beijing–Brussels service commenced on March 24, 2026, followed by the Chengdu–Brussels route on March 26. These new links increase Air China’s European destinations to 23, providing more flexible travel options for international passengers. The dual-hub strategy is expected to significantly boost inbound tourism by offering European travelers direct access to both China’s capital and the vibrant southwestern region.

The new services are designed to facilitate people-to-people exchanges and cultural interaction between Asia and Europe. For travelers from Belgium and neighboring countries, the routes offer a seamless gateway to explore China’s diverse landscapes and heritage. Industry experts believe that the enhanced connectivity will further drive the growth of inbound tourism, as Brussels serves as a major international hub. This expansion simplifies travel logistics for European tourists, encouraging more frequent visits to China’s major cultural and economic centers.

By optimizing its global flight network, Air China continues to support China’s opening-up efforts and regional travel partnerships. The launch of these dual routes marks a significant step in reinforcing the airline’s presence in the European market. As international travel demand continues to rise, these strategic aviation corridors make it easier for global visitors to experience China’s unique cultural vitality, ensuring a steady stream of visitors to both northern and southwestern China.
