Transportation in Xining Travel

Xining Airport

Services from and to the major tourism city, like Beijing, Guangzhou, Kunming, Shenzhen, Xi'an and Chengdu, are available. There are also some flights to Chongqing, Dunhuang, Golmud, and Urumqi. For times, Xining is a significant stop for visitors to Tibet. Many visitors fly to there first, and then proceed to Lhasa. Direct flights to Lhasa are available there.

Airport bus

You can catch the regular airport bus service from the air tickets booking office of civil aviation, No.158, Yingze Dajie. The airport bus also can be taken at Mingzhu Hotel, No 7, Huzhu Xilu and the bus ticket is 21 Yuan per person.

A ride from Xining Airport to the city center via taxi cost about 50 Yuan.

 

Railway Stations

 

Xining Railway Station

 

As the traffic hub of Qinghai Province, in the important northwest region of China, Xining Railway Station possesses two trunk and three feeder railway lines, radiating out in all directions. Most trains head to Lhasa from all around the county stop at Xining railway station, and it takes 24 hours or so from Xining to Lhasa. All trains depart in the afternoon.
