Why is Ya’an Bifengxia Valley Panda Base special?
Located in north of Bifengxia Valley scenic area of Ya’an, some 150 kilometers away from Chengdu, this Panda Base covers an area of 1,074 hectares and owns 22 pandas in total. Just as one park of giant pandas, the base is a well-known place for panda breeding, reproduction, research, rare wild animal rescue and scientific education.

The Giant Panda Ecological Park
Laid its foundation in the Chinese Giant Panda Base of Bifengxia Valley on December 26th, 2001, the Giant Panda Ecological Park marked operation of the largest semi-raising giant panda base in the world.
This park is divided into four functional zones: the raising and breeding area, the working and living area, the bamboo base and the wildlife training area.
