Spring (March through May)

Humidity and temperatures combine to make this season feel warm. Highs range from 84°F (28.9°C) and 60.4°F (15.8°C) with warmer temperatures in the later months. Rain is very common with 9 to 13 days of significant precipitation per month. Spring is fairly slow for tourism, which makes it a good time for those looking for deals.

Summer (June through August)

The middle-year months have very comfortable weather with high temperatures that are quite warm. These months see moderate precipitation with 8 to 12 days of precipitation per month. June - August is the slowest season for tourism in Fuzhou, so lodging and other accommodations may cost less than usual.

Fall (September through November)

Fall daily highs range from 90.1°F (32.3°C) and 68°F (20°C), which will feel very nice given the humidity and wind. It rains or snows a significant amount: 3 to 6 days per month. Tourism is the busiest during these months due to the weather, so hotels may be higher priced.

Winter (December through February)

Weather is too cold this time of year in Fuzhou to be enjoyable for warm weather travelers. The average high during this season is between 64.9°F (18.3°C) and 56.6°F (13.7°C). On average, it rains or snows a fair amount: 5 to 7 times per month. These times of year are the second busiest with tourists.

The recommended visiting time to Fuzhou is in fall and winter. The cool and clear days, with evergreen trees describe a charming scene of southern latitudes.

Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade is held every May 18th. Tourists should avoid this period due to the shortage of restaurant tables and hotel beds, etc. around this time.
