Metro

Chongqing Railway Station
Chongqing Railway Station is currently under construction, and is expected to be reused in 2014. From Chongqing North Railway Station, you could take a bullet train to Chengdu in 2 hours.

Chongqing North Railway Station
Chongqing North Railway Station is mainly for bullet trains. It takes about only 2 hours to get to Chengdu
Chongqing to Chengdu: 20 trains depart to Chengdu every day, takes 2-2.5 hours
Chongqing to Shanghai: takes about 28 hours
Chongqing to Beijing: takes 23-31 hours
Chongqing to Xi’an: takes 9 - 11 hours

Bus stations
Chongqing Bus Station
You could take buses to Chengdu and Dazu Rock Carvings from Chongqing Bus Station.
To Chengdu: The bus leaves every hour from 8:00-18:50 and takes about 4-5 hours. Ticket price is about 120 Yuan.
To Dazu: The bus leaves every hour from 7:00-19:00 and takes about 2.5 hours. Ticket price is about 50 Yuan.

Water Transport
There are several luxury Yangtze River cruises departing from Chongqing daily, including President Cruise, Golden cruise, and Victoria Cruise. It takes 4 days from Chongqing to Yichang and 5 days from Yichang to Chongqing.
Chaotianmen Wharf
Chaotianmen Wharf is located in the city center, near the Jiefangbei Commercial Center. Since different Yangtze River Cruise ships stop at different docks, if you plan to take the cruise, it is better to contact the cruise company or travel agency in advance and make sure which dock to embark.
