Yantai Penglai International Airport, formerly known as Chaoshui International Airport, is located 43km from the city downtown area, near Chaoshui Town in Penglai, a county-level city administrated by Yantai.
This airport has been officially put into use on 28 May 2015, when all the flights serving Yantai transferred from the old Laishan Airport. It has domestic flights to major cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Harbin, Jinan, Shenyang and Wuhan and to international destinations, in particular Hong Kong, Taipei, Osaka, Shizuoka as well as Seoul.
