Dong Qian Lake

Dong Qian Lake is located in the southeast part of Yinzhou District in Ningbo City. It is about 8 kilometers away from the city center of Ningbo. It is the largest natural freshwater lake in Zhejiang Province. The water surface area is about 20 square kilometers, and it is 4 times larger than the West Lake in Hangzhou. Since ancient times the lake has been a famous scenic spot in Eastern Zhejiang.

 

The average water depth of Dong Qian Lake is 2.2 meters, and the total water storage is 33 million 900 thousand cubic meters. Dong Qian Lake is listed as the pilot of ecological environmental protection for Chinese lakes. It is known as "the charm of the West Lake and the spirit of Tai Lake".

 

Dong Qian Lake can be divided into three parts: Guzi Lake, Mei Lake, and Outer Lake. The three are collectively known as the "Dongqian Lake". Dongqian Lake is surrounded by mountains. It has the Fuquan Hill in the southeast, Yuebo Hill in the northwest. The northeast is surrounded by Longquan Mountains, Taogong Mountain and Baiibu Peak.
