240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in China
China is implementing a 10-day (240 hours) visa-free transit policy. The transit program allows visitors who have existing flight bookings from China to a third country (region) to snag a visa on arrival at a Chinese airport (port) and stay for 10 days before departure. Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan all count as third destinations.
Passport holders of 55 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, can enter visa-free through any of the 60 open airports (ports) in 24 provincial regions, covering popular tourist cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Chengdu and Guangzhou.

Meanwhile, citizens from 47 countries can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days.
Tour Duration: about 7:30 - 18:00
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide at about 7:30am.
Walk around the Old Downtown with its maze of walkways, reflecting ponds, pavilions and stone bridges. (30 minutes)
After a pleasant walk along the old streets, take a visit to the Yu Garden (UNESCO) which is a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture owing to its ingenious design in Ming and Qing dynasties. (1 hour). Then drink tea at local tea house nearby. (30 minutes)
Then wondering through the Bund, where stands a number of outstanding European colonial architectures, new skyscrapers and historical buildings in Shanghai. (40 minutes)
After lunch, visit the Shanghai Museum where exhibits 120,000-piece collection of Chinese ancient treasures. (1.5 hours)
A short period time for shopping at the local pearl shop. (30 minutes)
Visit Tianzifang - an artsy area that has developed from a renovated residential area. Now it houses bars, cafes, crafts shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques. (30 minutes)
The next stop is the Old French Concession, which features a great collection of characteristic buildings. (20 minutes)
Drop you off at your hotel at by 18:00.
