Ancient Silk Road tour will break the administrative division, and embrace a non-obstacle tour brand by five northwest provinces of China, namely Shaanxi, Ningxia, Gansu, Qinghai and Xinjiang.

As a major conjunction connecting politics, economics and culture between China and the West, ancient Silk Road stretches 7000 miles in total with 4000 miles in China through five northwest provinces. Along the road there are Terracotta Warriors of the Qin Dynasty in Xi’an, Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Qinghai Lake, Yardang Landform and other tourist attractions, through which the glory and prosperity of China will be traced.

According to the authorities, Ancient Silk Road should be an integrated tour brand. However, due to administrative division, there are certain obstacles which lessen the attractiveness of the tour. Thus five major provinces decided to integrate the tour resources, and promote trans-region cooperation, hoping to present an intact Chinese history to the public.
