This year, Hangzhou’s Xianghu Lake will have a new world-class museum, becoming a new “cultural landmark” in Hangzhou. Up to now, the World Tourism Museum’s construction work of halls and landscapes have been completed. It has entered into the preliminary design stage of exhibits.
As the World Tourism Headquarters, the World Tourism Museum has a total construction area of 39,393 square meters. With the theme of world tourism, the World Tourism Museum is a multifunctional digital and intellectual museum integrating cultural display and dissemination, collection and research, exhibition and exchange, tourism and leisure together.
The World Tourism Museum has set up several exhibition halls including the Tourism General Hall, the World Tourism Hall and the China Tourism Hall, which will comprehensively show world tourism cultures to the public.
