Haixi Travel Season Tips

Haixi has indistinct seasons due to its typical continental plateau region climate. It is dry with sunshine throughout the year, and the temperature typically varies from 1°C to 31°C and is rarely below -3°C or above 34°C.

Summer is comfortably cool, but relatively short. The hottest season starts from June to September, which has a daily temperature above 27°C. Winter is chilly and long, with a daily temperature of 13°C. The hottest day of all year is in July, while the coldest day is in January.

Considering wind and humidity, spring is quite windy, and the windiest day appears in March. The rest of the year is relatively calmer. From May to October, Haixi is humid, with the most humid day appears in July. The least humid month is January.

During February and September, Haixi has a greater chance to have precipitation, while the other months—October, November, December, and January—are more likely to be drier.

Summer is the busiest season for tourism in Haixi. The demands for hotels and flights would rise sharply due to the large amount of visitors, and so do their price. Nevertheless, early booking would save you some costs if you really want to visit at this time. Other months are also nice, such as September and October, and the cost would be less.

The best time visiting Haixi for outdoor activities is September and October, since these two months don’t rain much and have a comfortable temperature. If you want to have fun by the water, July and August would also be good choices. Due to higher weather, you won’t feel too cold in the water.
