Beijing Tongzhou Station is scheduled to begin operations on December 30, as the core rail component of the Beijing Sub-Center comprehensive transport hub. The existing Tongzhou Station on the Beijing-Harbin railway line will be renamed Zhongcang Station.
Initially, the station will run trains to destinations such as Beichen in Tianjin, Tangshan, and Qinhuangdao in Hebei Province. The travel time to Tangshan will be about 55 minutes, while the trip to Qinhuangdao will take approximately 90 minutes.
The hub features a fully-underground design and offers a connection to Subway Line 6. Local bus services have been adjusted, and two new customized bus routes have been added to meet passenger demand.
