Beijing Capital Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct international service between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Lisbon, Portugal, starting June 22, 2026. This new route will be the first direct link from Beijing Daxing to the Portuguese capital, complementing the airline’s existing service from Hangzhou. Operated by Airbus A330 wide-body aircraft, the flight JD627 is scheduled to depart Beijing at 10:55 and arrive in Lisbon at 17:15 local time every Monday. The return flight, JD628, will depart Lisbon at 18:55 and arrive back in Beijing the following day at 14:00.
The introduction of this direct service is expected to significantly enhance inbound tourism from Southern Europe and South America. By providing a streamlined connection to China’s capital, the route offers international travelers a more efficient alternative to previously required transfers in other European hubs. Furthermore, Lisbon’s strategic position as a gateway to Brazil and various African nations allows the new flight to serve as a vital corridor for global visitors entering the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, fostering increased cultural and tourism exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking world.
For international guests arriving in Beijing, the Daxing hub offers advanced transit facilities and seamless connections to other major Chinese tourist destinations. The addition of this route, alongside the established Hangzhou–Lisbon service, ensures comprehensive direct coverage from China’s two major economic clusters to Portugal. Industry analysts suggest that this improved air connectivity will play a crucial role in the sustained growth of inbound tourism, making China more accessible for leisure and business travelers seeking to explore the country’s diverse heritage and modern urban landscapes.
