Day 1: Guiyang
Day 2: Guiyang - Anshun
Morning: Enjoy a refreshing morning walk at Qianlingshan Park, the emerald green lung of Guiyang. Meet the famous wild macaques roaming freely along the forest trails, and observe local citizens practicing Tai Chi and traditional arts, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday local life.
Afternoon: Drive to Tianlong Tunpu Castle (1h). Explore this 14th-century Ming Dynasty stone fortress where villagers still wear traditional Ming robes. Witness a live performance of “Ground Opera” (Dixi)—the living fossil of theatrical art—featuring expressive wooden masks.
Evening: Drive to Huangguoshu (1h) and check into your hotel to enjoy a cool, relaxing evening.



Day 3: Anshun - Xijiang
Morning: Visit Huangguoshu Waterfall, the largest waterfall in Asia (77.8m high, 101m wide). Take the curated trail directly behind the roaring torrent into the mystical Water Curtain Cave to experience the cascading waters from the inside.
Afternoon: Take a scenic drive eastward to the Miao culture heartland in Xijiang (3.5h). As the largest Miao village in China, Xijiang features a stunning panorama of traditional wooden stilt houses layered across the hillside.
Evening: Check into your hotel and admire the breathtaking view of Xijiang’s thousand houses illuminated under the night sky.



Day 4: Xijiang - Kaili - Tongren
Morning: Explore Langde Miao Village, a peaceful live museum of Miao culture. Admire authentic wooden stilt houses built from 1616 to 1911 and participate in the traditional 12-table “block-the-way” welcome wine ceremony hosted by silver-adorned villagers, followed by a lively Lusheng dance.
Afternoon: Drive north through the rolling hills to the sacred foothills of Fanjingshan (2.5–3h). Check into your hotel early to rest.



Day 5: Tongren - Shiqiao - Libo
Morning: Explore Fanjingshan (Mount Fanjing), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take the cable car and hike up to the iconic Red Clouds Golden Summit, where solitary temples perch precariously on a vertical stone pillar. Marvel at the gravity-defying Mushroom Stone rising above the clouds.
Afternoon: Drive toward Libo. En route, stop at Shiqiao Miao Village to see a 1,300-year-old Tang Dynasty paper-making craft using tree bark. Design your own paper sheet using freshly picked wild leaves and flower petals.



Day 6: Libo - Congjiang
Morning: Discover Libo Xiaoqikong (Small Seven Holes Park), "the emerald of the earth." Walk across the legendary 1836 stone bridge, admire the silky blue waters of Wolongpu Waterfall, and enjoy a cool hike through the unique Water Forest where trees grow directly out of limestone streams.
Afternoon: Drive to the deep agricultural valleys of the magnificent Jiabang Rice Terraces (3.5h).

Day 7: Congjiang - Zhaoxing
Morning: Take an early morning soft hike through the misty Jiabang Terraces. Drive to Zhanli Dong Village (2.5h) to view the “Boy Well” and “Girl Well,” and listen to the folklore of the ancient herbalist who uses hidden plants to maintain a perfect household gender balance.
Afternoon: Visit Basha Miao Village, “the Last Gunslinger Village in China,” legally allowed to carry guns. Witness the firelock gunshot welcome ceremony and watch a traditional adult haircut ritual performed with a farming sickle. Drive to Zhaoxing Dong Village for the night views.



Day 8: Zhaoxing - Guiyang
Morning: Explore Zhaoxing, the largest Dong village in China. Admire its 5 distinct neighborhoods, each anchored by its own spectacular Drum Tower and Wind and Rain Bridge. Listen to the hauntingly beautiful polyphonic harmonies of the Grand Songs of the Dong People.
Afternoon: Transfer to Congjiang Railway Station (20 min) to catch a high-speed train to back to Guiyang for your onward flight.
