Major construction of the Universal Beijing Resort has been finished, while the resort is expected to open in May. The resort is located in the eastern suburban district of Tongzhou, Beijing. It is the fifth Universal Resort in the world and the third in Asia.
Universal Beijing Resort is composed the Universal Studios theme park, the Universal CityWalk and two superior hotels, as well as 37 recreational facilities, 24 performances, 80 restaurants and 30 stores.
The Universal Studios theme park consists of 7 units: Kung Fu Panda Land of Awesomeness, Transformers: Metrobase, Minion Land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Jurassic World Isla Nublar, Hollywood and WaterWorld.
Universal Beijing Resort is to offer tourists an immersive experience by integrating culture and tourism. It is scheduled to open in May this year and pre-opening preparation is now underway, including the improvement of interior decoration, facility testing, tourist service rehearsals and staff training. After opening, the resort is expected to receive more than 10 million tourists per year.
