According to the governor of Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province, Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area will gradually reopen part by part and cut the price of tickets.

A restoration plan was offered by the government last November. The restoration will be completed in three years under investment of 11.8 billion yuan.

Located in the mountains on the eastern edge of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Jiuzhaigou is known worldwide for its ethnic minority communities, superb mountainous landscape and stunning lake scenery. The scenic area has been closed since last August due to an earthquake.
