Day 1 Beijing
Day 2 Beijing
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide.
Today’s tour begins with the Tian’anmen Square, the world’s largest and renowned public square where many historical events once took place.
Then pay a visit to Imperial Ancestral Temple, where during both the Ming and Qing Dynasties, sacrificial ceremonies were held on the most important festival occasions in honor of the imperial family's ancestors.
Continue to explore another renowned imperial site - Forbidden City (UNESCO), where the 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled for nearly 500 years (1420-1911). Experience the architectural splendor of the palaces, ceremonial courtyards and private quarters.
After the lunch, continue to visit the Summer Palace (UNESCO), the largest imperial garden in the world.
Free morning pickup available for hotels situated within the 3rd Ring Road of Beijing. Otherwise please go to the Swissotel Hotel Beijing, nearby the Exit C of Dongsi Shitiao Metro Station of Line 2.
Day 3 Beijing
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide.
After about 1.5-hour driving, you will walk along the Sacred Way which means the road leading to heaven. The Sacred Way is lined with stone statues of the mausoleum.
Have lunch after visiting the Jade Carving Artistic Center.
Continue to visit the Mutianyu Great Wall (UNESCO). As China's most renowned monument, it is the most spectacular structures ever built by human and as the only one visible from space.
Afterwards, stop at a Chinese Silk Shop and transfer to your hotel.
Day 4 Beijing - Xi'an (by bullet train)
Day 5 Xi'an
In the morning, you will visit the Banpo Museum, the site of a typical Neolithic matriarchal community around 6,000 years ago.
Then, explore the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses (UNESCO), one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world. More than 6000 life-sized terra cotta warriors, archers, infantrymen, horses and bronze chariots silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years.
Head to the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.
Later, take a short visit to the Terra-Cotta Reproduction Factory.
Day 6 Xi’an – Shanghai (by air)
Day 7 Shanghai
In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel by your guide.
The tour will begin with the thriving City God Temple, also known as the Yu Garden Market, where century-old stores specializes in traditional arts and crafts.
After a pleasant walk along the old streets, take a visit to the Yu Garden (UNESCO) which is a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture owing to its ingenious design in Ming and Qing dynasties.
Then wondering through the Bund, where stands a number of outstanding European colonial architectures, new skyscrapers and historical buildings in Shanghai.
View the modern skyscrapers complex in Pudong New Area from the outside.
After lunch, a short period time for shopping at the local pearl shop.
Then head for the People’s Square - the landmark of central Shanghai.
Later, visit the Shanghai Museum where exhibits 120,000-piece collection of Chinese ancient treasures.
The next stop is the Old French Concession, which features a great collection of characteristic buildings.
Drop you off at your hotel.
Day 8 Shanghai
Day 9 Shanghai - Guilin (by air)
Day 10 Guilin - Yangshuo (by boat) - Guilin (by automobile)
In the morning, your guide will pick you up from the hotel. Then you will embark on a memorable 3-hour Li River Cruise. Through this real journey of China's best known natural scenery, you can appreciate unique karst landscapes as well as verdant hills and lovely waters.
Then arrive at Yangshuo and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. You could test your bargaining skills and have fun or rent a bicycle to explore this town with its fascinating landscapes.
Late in the afternoon, take a car ride back to your hotel in Guilin.
