This brand new family tour is a full exploration of China’s culture and history with four classic cities: Beijing, Xi’an, Guilin, and Shanghai. You can experience the real life of Chinese family by visiting many historical sites and participating in varieties of traditional activities with your own family members. It is also added many unique Chinese folk activities for you to strengthen ties with family.

Beijing

Day 1

Upon your arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Beijing. Explore Beijing on your own.

 

Day 2

In the morning, visit the Tian’an men Square, the world’s largest and renowned public square where many historical events once took place. Head to the Forbidden City, the world’s largest and renowned public square where many historical events once took place.

 

In the afternoon, choose an optional tour for what your kids are interested in.

Option A: Take a Hutong Tour by old–fashioned pedicab to explore the oldest part of the city for a real sight into the traditional Chinese life style. Then, learn to make dumplings with your family in a local Chinese house and have a taste of your own dumplings!

Option B: Visit the Gaobeidian Folk Art Village. Learn how to paint Beijing Opera masks with special painting skills. You will know more about colorful folk customs of Beijing Opera.

 

Day 3

Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall, which is one of the most spectacular structures ever built by human and as the only one visible from space.

Then, head to the Temple of Heaven, where ancient Chinese emperors would make sacrifices to Heaven and pray for bountiful harvests. The Temple of Heaven construction is supreme achievement of Chinese traditional architecture.

 

Day 4

In the morning, visit the Summer Palace (UNESCO), and the largest imperial garden in the world.

Later, transfer to the airport or train station for your departure.

 

Xi’an

Day 1

Upon your arrival, meet your guide and transferred to your hotel in Xi’an. Explore the city on your own.

 

Day 2

Today's excursion will take you to the Museum of Terracotta Warriors and Horses (UNESCO), one of the greatest archaeological discoveries in the world. More than 6000 life-sized terra cotta warriors, Archers, infantrymen, horses and bronze chariots silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years.

Then head to the Wild Goose Pagoda, a Tang Dynasty landmark. This seven-story pagoda was initially constructed in 652 AD, and a larger team of scholars was organized here for translation of the Buddhist sutras brought back from India and it became a holy place for pilgrimages.

Stroll through the Muslim Street, which is full of local delicacies.

 

Day 3

Today, choose an optional tour for what your kids are interested in.  

 

Option A: Learn folk art painting at Art Studio of Pan Xiaoling. Pan Xiaoling is one of the most famous peasant painters in China, and her art studio is located in the rural village not far from Xi’an city (about 1.5 hours’ car ride). Also there will be an opportunity to learn the traditional art-paper cutting.

Option B: Or your day will start with a bike tour on the Ancient City Wall, which is one of the oldest walls in China and still compasses the center of Xi'an. You will impressed by the charm of this old city.

Then, transfer to the airport or train station for your departure.

 

Shanghai

Day 1

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your Hotel. Explore Shanghai on your own.

 

Day 2

Your full day tour begins with the Yu Garden (UNESCO). Owing to its ingenious design in Ming and Qing dynasties, it becomes a real museum of Chinese ancient architecture.

Wander through the bustling Bund, featuring outstanding European colonial architectures, new skyscrapers and historical buildings in Shanghai.

Choose an optional tour for what your kids are interested in.

 

Option A: Visit the Shanghai Natural History Museum, witnessing the mystery of nature and sharing excitement with your family members. 

Option B: Enjoy a stunning view of Shanghai from the 88th floor of the Jinmao Tower with your family. At 1,380 feet, it is the world's third tallest building, as well as home to the world's tallest hotel, the Grand Hyatt Shanghai.

 

Day 3

If you have an extra day in Shanghai, here is a recommended one-day optional for you.

 

Option A: Full-day in the Disneyland

Enjoy a whole day to explore the Disneyland with your family! Shanghai Disney Resort is a magical place where happiness is discovered and dreams come true. Combining classical Disney flavor with special culture and beauty of China, Shanghai Disney Resort creates memories for everyone that will last a lifetime!

(Private transfers from your hotel to the Disneyland are included. You will enjoy on your own without guide.)

 

Option B: Full-day tour to Suzhou

In the morning, take a car ride to from Shanghai to Suzhou, which is known as the "Venice of the East" is also a fantastic choice for you! Suzhou is a 2,500-year-old city renowned the world over for its traditional gardens, ancient canals and silk production.

Upon arrival, you will visit the Master of Nets Garden (UNESCO), the smallest and most delicate of all the beautiful gardens in Suzhou.

Learn Chinese calligraphy with your family in an ancient yard in Suzhou. Professional teachers will definitely give you an unforgettable time and unique fun in Suzhou!

You'll have an unparalleled experience on the Grand Canal cruise. Get on board and voyage on the longest man-made waterway in the world. The network of picturesque lakes and canals both large and small alongside will remind you at times that you are in an Oriental water wonderland.

Later, take a car ride back to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel.

 

Guilin

Day 1

On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel and enjoy a free day in Guilin.

 

Day 2

Today, you will enjoy a full-day excursion in Yangshuo.

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel by your guide and drive to Yangshuo, a small but beautiful town near Guilin.

Choose optional tours for what your kids are interested in.

 

Option A: take a one-hour Bamboo Rafting. Why not the Li River Cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo - to avoid the noise and crowd of electric boat, we truly recommend the relaxing bamboo rafting at Yangshuo. One small raft with a boatman could take two people. Sitting in a chair on the raft and floating down the Yulong River, you will be impressed by the amazing natural beauty in the countryside.

Option B: explore Yangshuo on your bike. Rent a bike and cycle to the Moon Hill, the Big Banyan Tree, and other popular attractions in Yangshuo.

Option C: hiking around Yangshuo. Yangshuo County is dotted with rolling hills, bamboo forests and local villages. Hiking with your guide and explore this scenic countryside is not a bad choice.

In the afternoon, take a car ride back to Guilin.

 

Day 3

In the morning, take a visit to the Fubo Hill, a perfect spot to explore the limestone karst landscape in Guilin.

Then, transfer to the airport for your departure.
