Luxury hotel operator InterContinental Hotel Groups (IHG) debuted the urban resort concept in Southwest China as it launched the InterContinental Kunming, the first internationally branded 5-star hotel in Kunming, capital city of Yunnan Province.
Nestled in the center of the National Tourism Area of Dianchi Lake, the new hotel is close to downtown as well as a number of scenic venues such as West Mountain and Yunnan Ethnic Village.
As the first urban resort in Southwest China, the hotel fuses the group’s signature luxury offerings with the facilities and services of a premier city-based retreat. The hotel offers 541 elegant guestrooms, each uniquely designed to create a modern, yet natural atmosphere highlighted by traditional Yunnan characteristics.
