The fifth Badaling Red Leaf Festival opened in Badaling Forest National Park on Sep 21. Located next to the famous Badaling Great Wall, Badaling Forest National Park is the place where the leaves of maple trees turned red first in Beijing.

The Red Leaf Festival will last 47 days from Sep 21 to Nov 6. Red leaf lovers and photographers can go to Badaling to enjoy the grand natural view among the ancient Great Wall.

The middle of October is the best season to appreciate red leaves in Beijing. Another famous red leaf festival at Fragrant Hill will kick off on Oct 12.
