Recently, the opening ceremony of the National Palace Museum Relocation Memorial South in Chongqing was held in Ciyun Old Street, Nanan District. It is China’s first thematic historical memorial museum set up within the site of the National Palace Museum Relocation Memorial South.

According to the introduction, the museum has an overall area of 2,500 square meters, including a memorial hall, cultural lecture halls, education classrooms, the library of the Forbidden City, bookstores, the cultural and creative cultural venues and supporting services.

The museum combines graphics, images and objects to commemorate the feat of the southward relocation of cultural relics of the National Palace Museum during the anti-Japanese war, and vividly restores the relevant historical facts.
