Starting from December 7, Sichuan Airlines will officially resume the direct flight route between Chengdu Tianfu International Airport and Auckland, New Zealand. This is one of the first batches of international routes the airline has moved to resume recently; it will also gradually restore multiple international routes (including Chengdu - Phuket) in the follow-up to further improve its cross-border aviation network.

According to Sichuan Airlines’ released operational plan, the resumed Chengdu Tianfu - Auckland route will be operated by A350 wide-body aircraft, with 2 weekly flights. Previously, travelers between Chengdu and Auckland mostly had to transfer via a third city; the return of the direct route will significantly cut travel time, offering a more efficient cross-border option for tourists and business travelers.

In addition to the Auckland route, Sichuan Airlines has launched preparation for resuming other international routes like Chengdu - Phuket. Details such as specific flight times and service frequencies will be announced later.
