“Name Card of China” itinerant exhibition opens in Chongqing

Recently, themed as “Name Card of China - Exhibition for the 70th Anniversary of Renminbi”, the itinerant exhibition opens in Chongqing. In memory of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of People’s Bank of China and issuance of Renminbi, this exhibition is held at Floor 3 of Head Office Building of Bank of Chongqing until March 17th.  

 

The exhibition is divided into 10 sections, which displays over 500 precious exhibits, including five sets of Renminbi, ordinary commemorative coins, precious metal commemorative coins, as well as contents about fighting and preventing counterfeiting, Renminbi issuance and circulation, Renminbi cross-border flow, etc.

 

Chongqing has a deep relationship with Renminbi, because the Kuimen of Three Gorges printed on 10-yuan note is located in Chongqing. In addition, the gold and silver commemorative coins of Dazu Rock Carvings with unique features of Chongqing are another highlight. Combined with literatures, audio, video and interactive activities, visitors can vividly know the Renminbi printing technology, the history of development and inheritance and the unique charm of Renminbi.
