Official data reveals that over 74 percent of these foreign arrivals entered under visa-free policies or the 240-hour temporary entry permit arrangement, underscoring the vital role of policy facilitation in attracting global guests to the capital.
To ensure efficient and orderly entry, the Beijing General Station of Immigration Inspection has deployed round-the-clock fast-track channels and dynamic resource allocation during peak traffic hours. For participants of inbound tourism, these optimization efforts include online entry card processing and one-stop systems for temporary permits. Furthermore, specialized multilingual service teams have been mobilized across inspection counters to provide real-time policy guidance. This comprehensive support system has significantly improved the overall clearance experience for diverse international passenger groups, ranging from family leisure travelers from Russia and Vietnam to professional athletes from Australia.
This policy-driven growth is heavily supported by the rapid expansion of international flight networks across North China. Since the start of the summer-autumn aviation schedule, Beijing Capital International Airport has increased frequencies on more than a dozen European routes—including Brussels, Istanbul, and Dublin—while Beijing Daxing International Airport has laid out plans to connect with 44 international and regional destinations. As the capital continues to upgrade its border infrastructure and cultural accessibility, these integrated aviation and immigration advancements ensure that Beijing remains a seamless, welcoming gateway for sustainable inbound tourism development.
