New high-speed train to connect Beijing and Caofeidian in Hebei Province

At 7:47am on August 21, as D6622 High-Speed Train gradually departed from Caofeidiandong Railway Station, made a stopover at Tangshan Railway Station, and arrived Beijingnan Railway Station at 10:22am, the direct railway route between Beijing and Caofeidian, with a stopover in Tangshan, was officially put into operation.

 

The implementation of this route is planned to be divided into stages. The first stage is from August 21 to 31. The train will depart from Beijingnan Railway Station and arrive at Caofeidiandong Railway Station and Caofeidiangang Railway Station, with a duration of 2 hours 39 minutes and 2 hours 34 minutes respectively. A 2nd class seat of the former costs 78 RMB, and that of the latter costs 80.5 RMB. The second stage will start from September 1. After that, the departure station in Beijing will become Beijing Railway Station. The time and the 2nd class seat’s cost to Caofeidiandong Railway Station and Caofeidiangang Railway Station will become 2 hours 16 minutes and 75.5 RMB, and 2 hours 19 minutes and 78 RMB respectively.

 

This first ever train traveling between Beijing and Caofeidian brings the latter into the national high-speed railway network, and will boost the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
