International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 opens in Beijing

International Horticultural Exhibition 2019 Beijing China, the largest exposition of its kind in the world opens on April 29th in Yanqing Distrct of Beijing. Hosted by the Chinese government and the Beijing Municipality, this worldwide horticultural exposition will last for 162 days until October 7th. Themed as "Live Green, Live Better", this exposition has attracted exhibitors from 110 countries and international organizations.

 

The expo is mainly divided into China Pavilion, Plant Pavilion, International Pavilion, Horticultural Experience Pavilion and Guirui Theater. Both indoor and outdoor gardens are displayed, which highlight with the theme of integration of life and ecology. The exposition is estimated to attract about 16 million visitors around the world.

 

At the opening ceremony on April 29th, President Xi Jinping delivered a speech, which stresses the importance of environment protection and green development. “There is only one Earth and we humans have only one home,” Xi said. As a special green carnival and a dialogue between human and nature, the horticultural exposition will help deepen the cultural exchange between different countries, and also inspire people to integrate horticulture with life.
