DPRK paintings displayed in Mudanjiang

To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War (1950-53) armistice and the third anniversary of the foundation of the base, a DPRK painting exhibition was held from July 23 to Aug 6.

 

 

The exhibition is the largest one of its kind in China with a total of 220 paintings of different styles on show. Most of the paintings were created in the 1980s and 1990s. The painting named The Mountain Peak is valued at more than 200,000 yuan ($32,604).
