Chongqing Municipal Archives opens two exhibition halls

Recently, two exhibition halls of Chongqing Municipal Archives including “Bayu Monument - History of Revolution of the Communist Party of China in Chongqing (1921 - 1949)” and “Memory of Chongqing - Development of Chongqing Since Modern Times” opens to the public.  

 

The two exhibition halls cover an area of 3,000 square meters in total. “Bayu Monument” was jointly built by Chongqing Municipal Archives and CPC Chongqing Municipal Party History Research Office, and it was the first time to be opened to the public. The “Memory of Chongqing” was performed a trial opening on September 28, 2020, and it has attracted more than 2,500 persons of 90 and more groups so far.

 

The exhibition reappears the development and changes of Chongqing's politics, economy, culture, education and society from 1891, especially since the founding of the People's Republic of China to 2020. With a time span of more than 130 years, the exhibition has exhibited more than 490 precious archives, more than 1,300 new and old photos and some video materials.
