Art collection from France exhibited in Chongqing

“A natural light - collection exhibition of Le SU Art Center of France” opened at Wangqi Art Museum in Chongqing on November 23rd. The art exhibition is opened for free to the public, and will last until December 20th. The exhibition displayed a total of 70 featured masterpieces from 1930s to now, including oil paintings, prints, and watercolors, which were originally housed at the Le SU Art Center of France.

 

The Le SU Art Center of France has a history of two centuries, which has gone through both world wars. The exhibition aims to present the aesthetic taste and significance of French modern and contemporary art to the public. The director of the Wangqi Art Museum, Zhong Zhifang, said that he wanted to use this exhibition as a chance to build an international cultural and artistic exchange platform for the public, which helps to promote cultural and artistic exchanges, and also to enhance the friendship between the two countries.

 

The representative of the Le SU Art Center, Alex, has taken great efforts to learn Chinese in order to have a better understanding of the Chinese culture. He was also excited about this exhibition in Chongqing, “this exhibition is a celebration for the 40th anniversary of China’s Reform and Opening-up, and it could be said that the exhibition is of great significance.”
