The 2017 Yanqing Rural Tourism Culture Festival opened in Beijing's Yanqing district on July 21st, with various activities and local products displayed.
The opening ceremony was held at the Beijing Longwan International Camping Park in Jiuxian County in Yanqing. On display, there were local Yanqing crafts, such as pottery making, paper-cuts, leather carving and pyrography. Besides, there was a feast showcased 30 kinds Yanqing local food on a 100-meter-long table.
Homestay hotel experience was also displayed on the festival. For the last three years, Yanqing has been building up homestay hotels with distinctive local features and many are still under construction.
Yanqing, is located in the outskirts of Beijing, is famed for its natural tourism resources with Badaling National Forest and Yudu Mountains. It is considered as a great getaway to avoid summer heat in the city.
