As one of the main supporting activities for the 4th Cross-Straits Forum in Xiamen, the 2012 Taiwan-style Temple Fair was held from 15th to 21st June at Xiamen’s most renowned business zone in southeast China's Fujian Province.

People in Xiamen got a chance to experience authentic snacks, handicrafts, cultural shows and art performances from Taiwan at the street fair. There are another 110 booths showing Taiwan's traditional handicrafts and creative products. The week long Taiwan-themed fair has attracted more than 100 vendors selling about 300 kinds of traditional snacks from Taiwan, which provides a window for people across the strait to know more of the food culture of Taiwan.

As one of the major seaports since ancient times, Xiamen boasts a wide gulf with deep water but without freezing and silting. It is a typical littoral city with abundant tourist attractions such as islands, mountains, temples and parks, etc., providing you with a full sightseeing schedule. The well-known Gulangyu Island and South Putuo Temple are highly recommended.
