Tianzhu Mountain in China's Anhui Province was declared a member of UNESCO's Global Geopark Network (GGN) during the 10th UNESCO World Geopark Assessment Conference held in Norway on Spet.18. And it becomes the 25th World Geopark in China.

With an area of 102 square kilometers, Tianzhu Mountain scenic zone is famous for its magnificent natural sights of lofty peaks, grotesque rocks, tranquil gullies, deep pools and famous waterfalls.

The area's highest peak is called "Tianzhu Peak" (literally " Heavenly Pillar"), because it's like a giant pillar reaching into the sky.
