On July 11, Haixi tourism authority announced the operation of a new tourist park at Chaka Salt Lake in Qinghai Province. It is the second scenic area of Chaka Salt Lake.
The new park is named “Sky No.1.”It covers an area of 14.19 square kilometers and costs about 620 million RMB to construct. This new park has a wide variety of tourism programs, including boating, gliding, hot air balloon rides, and camel and horse rides. However, at such a famous salt lake park, salt is the most important part here. You can enjoy salt therapy, salt sculpture, salt sliding, salt flats golfing and many salt-related DIY programs which you can never experience in other places.
Chaka Salt Lake is a natural crystalline saline lake located in Chaka Town, Ulan County, Haixi, Qinghai in China. 298 kilometers away from Xining, the capital of Qinghai, it is one of the four largest salt lakes in Qaidam Basin. An azure sky, the crystal blue water, and a snow-white lake bed win it a reputation of “Mirror of the Sky.”
