National Exhibition of Fine Arts opens at National Art Museum of China

The 13th National Exhibition of Fine Arts opens at National Art Museum of China in Beijing from December 20th. The exhibition shows a lineup of carefully selected and award-winning works that depict China's new era. The exhibition will run until January 14th, 2020.

 

The exhibition features a total of 573 artworks, which were selected from among over 4,000 works from 13 exhibitions across the country, including 37 award-winning works and 62 nominated works from the third Chinese Fine Art Awards.

 

According to Tie Ning, the chairwoman of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the exhibition covers various aspects including Chinese painting, oil painting, sculpture, architecture and graphic design. The art works focus on everyday people, different communities and symbolic snapshots of China's development, showing remarkable changes and progress in the country and moments in Chinese history.

 

National Museum of China open to the public in 1963 and it is the important national cultural landmark. There houses more than 110,000 pieces of various collections, and most of them are the representative works of different periods and great artworks of Chinese art masters.
