China Imperial Examination Museum will be launched in Nanjing in 2014, presenting to public the imperial examination system and culture from Sui Dynasty (581-619) to Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties.

According to the design plan, the museum will take an area of 66,800 square meters with the center of Historical Exhibition Hall of Jiangnan Institute For Imperial Examination in Confucius Temple. The hall is the biggest and the best-preserved imperial examination spot of ancient China. From the museum, visitors can get a peak of the imperial examination and the customs.

Imperial examination is a means to select talents for government in ancient China. With a history of more than 1300 years, it has been an indivisible part of Chinese culture.
