Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway to be completed in 2019

Beijing is trying to advance the construction of Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway, Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway, and Beijing-Shenyang passenger dedicated railway now, according to Beijing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on August 7th, 2018.

 

Among them, Beijing-Zhangjiakou high-speed railway’s Beijing section has been in the underground construction stage as scheduled and this railway’s structure will be got through within 2018. This 70.3-kilometer-long railway will see a fastest travel time of one hour from Beijing to Zhangjiakou once its opens to traffic by the end of 2019.

 

Beijing-Xiongan intercity railway will promote the integration development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei province. It is estimated that the intercity railway’s bridge project and sub grade project will get through within 2018.

 

This railway’s Beijing section and Beijing’s New Airport will be operated at the same time in September, 2019. Beijing-Shenyang passenger dedicated railway is one of China’s major projects. The railway’s Beijing section is 98.4 kilometers, which crosses Chaoyang, Changping, Shunyi, Huairou and Miyun District.
