As part of the Ice and Snow Festival of Beijing's Pinggu District, the Yuyang Ski Resort officially opens its doors to ski lovers from December. The ski resort is a huge ski complex featuring ski area, eco-restaurants, hotel and other snow activities.

Built in 2005, the resort lies about 70 kilometers northeast of the city center. The ski slopes lay on the slopes of Qinglong Mountain in Pinggu District, a national AAAA scenic spot.

Four different hills with varying degrees of difficulty are served by seven lifts. It usually takes as long as 25 minutes to get to the top of the slope.
