Recently, the Beijing-based painter - Xu Yang opens her art exhibition at the art gallery of Beijing News Plaza. Xu Yang received formal art training both domestically and in France. The diverse educational experience renders her work - either classic Chinese ink painting or oil paintings - a wide view of the world. Her paintings show a celebration of the beauty of forms and her admiration of nature.
Xu Yang’s eponymous exhibition has gathered dozens of ink and oil paintings so that visitors can witness her mastery of technique, which she started since her girlhood. Her oil works document impressive moments of her travels, and show the grandeur of nature and how much people can be immersed in it. Xu Yang also makes great efforts in painting figures and flower-and-bird genres of Chinese painting.
Xu Yang said that for a painter, inhibition and creation are both important, in order to show the works which maintains the Chinese tradition to people. Sticking to tradition and having the meaning life are the directions that Xu Yang insists on painting.
