Themed as “Development of Chongqing Expressway Greeting to the 40th Anniversary of the Reform and Opening-up”, a calligraphy and painting exhibition was held at Chongqing Wangqi Art Museum since January 8th. It will be opened to the public for free until January 27th.
During the exhibition, 200 works showing the rapid development of Chongqing expressways were showed the public. The works exhibited ranging from the static expressways to the construction workers, show the rapid development of Chongqing expressways from various perspectives.
By the end of 2018, Chongqing expressway mileage already reached 3,096 kilometers, with 20 inter-provincial passages constructed. It is estimated that by 2020, 1,000 kilometers of expressways will be completed, 1,000 kilometers will be started and the preparation work for constructing 1,000 kilometers of expressways will also be developed.
By 2020, expressways mileage in Chengdu will reach to 3,800 kilometers, the density of expressway network will achieve 4.6 kilometers per hundred square kilometers, inter-provincial exits will reach 27 and the coverage rate of rural expressways will be up to 75%.
