The 2023 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival opened on November 18. Featuring colorful lights, tasty food and joyful shopping, the festival will run for three weeks and conclude on December 9.

The light festival offers dazzling illuminations and outdoor night events to locals and visitors. It’s now being held along the Liangma River and across Chaoyang's iconic areas, including the Olympic Sports Center Area, Dawangjing Business District, CBD, Chaowai Business District, Chaoqing Business District, Gaobeidian and other places.

During the festival, a series of cultural, commercial, and tourism consumption activities will be held. A light and shadow experience area at Yansha Wharf has been set up, where shows featuring the elements of light and shadow, such as magic performances, painting interactions and others, will be staged from time to time. Light and shadow art installations will be prepared at the Olympic Forest Park. Various activities such as small-scale music performances, a food bazaar, and interactive, experiential and recreational activities will be held at Chaoyang Park, together with a neon run, a Michelin food festival, and a light concert.
