Overseas tourists to get tax rebate when shopping in Xiongan

Xinogan New Area starts to offer tax rebate to overseas tourists when shopping in the area from May 1st. As an annex of Beijing, Xinogan New Area is located in Baoding of Hebei Province. It was officially set up as an economic zone on April 1st, 2017.

 

Tourists could get shopping tax refunded in any of the 46 tax rebate stores on a minimum purchase amount of 500 yuan (about 80 U.S. dollars). These tax rebate stores can be found in Xiongan New Area, Zhangjiakou and Qinhuangdao.

 

According to the Shijiazhuang customs, 324 items in 21 categories including clothing, shoes, jewelry and home appliances are listed, but products such as food, beverages, fruit, tobacco, alcohol, automobiles and motorcycles are not eligible.

 

Departure tax refund windows has been set up in Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, Qinhuangdao Beidaihe International Airport, as well as Qinhuangdao Port. Moreover, the policy is expected to carry out to other places in Hebei.
